A Hotel Maintenance worker ensures the safety, functionality, and appearance of the property by performing repairs and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and guest room systems. Key duties include responding promptly to guest requests, fixing broken fixtures, painting, and conducting regular inspections, generally requiring basic technical skills in multiple trades.

Key Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance: Performing regular checks and servicing of HVAC units, lighting, kitchen equipment, and pool/hot tub systems to prevent breakdowns.
• Guest Room & Facility Repairs: Fixing plumbing issues (leaky faucets, toilets), electrical repairs, repairing furniture, painting, and maintaining public areas.
• Guest Service & Response: Addressing maintenance requests from guests and staff promptly and professionally.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensuring all safety regulations are followed, inspecting for hazards, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
• Record Keeping: Documenting all repairs, work orders, and inspections

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Must be in Malta
• Non-EU applicants must have pre-departure course certification
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and fix equipment malfunctions efficiently.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, and work in varied weather conditions.
