The Role
We are seeking a Chef de Partie to join the team. The selected candidate will play an active role in the kitchens daily operations, ensuring the preparation of high-quality dishes and maintaining the organizations standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring timely and consistent food preparation.

  • Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.

  • Maintain high presentation standards and consistency in all dishes served.

  • Manage inventory levels for your section, including ordering, restocking, and proper ingredient storage.

  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of your section, adhering to health and safety regulations.

  • Collaborate effectively with other kitchen sections and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.

  • Monitor food costs and portion control within your section to minimize waste and support budget goals.

  • Strictly follow food hygiene standards and ensure proper implementation of allergen procedures.

  • Conduct regular quality checks before service to ensure all dishes meet required standards.

  • Oversee your section during peak service periods, managing workflow efficiently.

  • Support and mentor Commis Chefs to maintain quality and consistency.

  • Complete all required online training within two weeks of the start date.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment.

  • Solid knowledge of food preparation, diverse dishes, and cooking methods.

  • Sound understanding of authentic and substitute ingredients.

  • Holder of a valid food handler licence.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Passion for food, innovation, and attention to detail.

  • Willingness to work on a shift basis in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

  • In possession of a valid Skills Pass.
