Our client is a specialist international recruitment organisation operating across Oil & Gas, Marine, and Renewable Energy sectors, supporting global clients in highly regulated, safety-critical environments.
Compliance is central to operations and plays a direct role in enabling client onboarding, tenders, contracts, and international workforce delivery.
๐ผ The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a highly organised and commercially aware Compliance Manager / Officer to take full ownership of compliance across the business.
This is a pivotal role sitting at the centre of operations, supporting:
- Compliance & regulatory frameworks
- Client onboarding and tenders
- Contract management
- Risk and insurance governance
This is not a purely regulatory role โ it is closely linked to commercial activity and business growth.
๐ Key Responsibilities
1. Compliance, Accreditation & Regulatory Governance
- Lead and maintain ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications
- Manage Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) compliance and audit processes
- Maintain REC accreditation and ensure ongoing regulatory adherence
- Oversee Health & Safety compliance in partnership with external providers
- Ensure policies and procedures remain aligned with current legislation
- Act as key point of contact for internal and external audits
2. Contracts & Commercial Compliance
- Manage full lifecycle of client and supplier contracts
- Draft, review, and support contract negotiation processes
- Identify and escalate commercial and operational risks
- Support contractual governance across the business
- Provide cover for contract-related duties when required, including issuing documentation to contractor personnel on international assignments
3. Tender & Business Support
- Support end-to-end tender submissions
- Interpret requirements and coordinate internal stakeholders
- Compile compliance documentation and submission packs
- Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of all tender outputs
4. Insurance Management
- Manage annual insurance renewals (Employerโs Liability, P&I, D&O, Travel & Repatriation)
- Liaise with insurance brokers to obtain competitive terms
- Manage claims processes from initiation to resolution
- Provide internal guidance on insurance matters
๐ฏ Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Minimum 4 yearsโ compliance experience
- Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and audit processes
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills
- Commercial awareness and risk assessment capability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Desirable
- Degree educated (not essential)
- Experience in regulated sectors (recruitment, maritime, energy, or similar)
- Exposure to contracts and/or tender processes
- Insurance administration experience

- Standard hours: 09:00 โ 17:00
