The Role
We are seeking a Pastry Commis Chef to join the team. You will support the pastry team in preparing and producing high-quality desserts and baked goods, assisting in day-to-day kitchen operations while developing your skills under the guidance of senior pastry chefs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of pastry items, baked goods, and desserts.

  • Follow recipes and instructions from the Pastry Chef and Sous Chef.

  • Prepare ingredients and ensure workstations are clean and well-organized.

  • Assist with decorating and finishing pastries and desserts.

  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.

  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients.

  • Support the team in adhering to health and safety regulations.

  • Participate in training and development opportunities to grow in the role.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or pastry environment is preferred.

  • Basic understanding of baking techniques and interest in pastry work.

  • Willingness to learn and take direction.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.

  • Flexible with working hours, including weekends and public holidays.

  • Good communication skills in English.

  • Passionate about pastry and eager to grow in the culinary field.

  • Organized, enthusiastic, and a team player with strong attention to detail.
