Job Description:
Our client, a leading hospitality and leisure operator in Malta, manages a diverse portfolio of restaurants and venues, offering unique dining and guest experiences driven by quality, innovation, and exceptional service.
The Role
We are seeking a Head of Sales & Events to lead and grow the commercial and events strategy for a new luxury hotel property. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, managing events, and ensuring revenue growth while delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the hotels overall sales strategy, including food and beverage, MICE, and leisure segments.

Lead the events and banqueting teams, coordinating across internal departments and external partners to deliver flawless events.

Oversee key accounts, corporate clients, and partnerships to maximize revenue opportunities.

Manage all event budgets, negotiations, and contracts to ensure profitability.

Provide leadership in planning, execution, and post-event reporting, maintaining high standards at every touchpoint.

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and guest expectations to identify new business opportunities.

Mentor and develop the sales and events teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
Requirements

Minimum of five years in a senior sales and/or events leadership role, preferably within luxury hotels, lifestyle resorts, or high-end hospitality.

Proven track record in achieving revenue targets and managing high-volume events.

Strong leadership, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.

Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.

Creative, solution-oriented mindset with attention to detail and guest experience.

Proficiency in sales and event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Degree in Hospitality, Business, Sales, or related field preferred.
