Our client, a leading hospitality and leisure operator in Malta, manages a diverse portfolio of restaurants and venues, offering unique dining and guest experiences driven by quality, innovation, and exceptional service.

The Role
We are seeking a Head of Sales & Events to lead and grow the commercial and events strategy for a new luxury hotel property. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales, managing events, and ensuring revenue growth while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the hotels overall sales strategy, including food and beverage, MICE, and leisure segments.

  • Lead the events and banqueting teams, coordinating across internal departments and external partners to deliver flawless events.

  • Oversee key accounts, corporate clients, and partnerships to maximize revenue opportunities.

  • Manage all event budgets, negotiations, and contracts to ensure profitability.

  • Provide leadership in planning, execution, and post-event reporting, maintaining high standards at every touchpoint.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and guest expectations to identify new business opportunities.

  • Mentor and develop the sales and events teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years in a senior sales and/or events leadership role, preferably within luxury hotels, lifestyle resorts, or high-end hospitality.

  • Proven track record in achieving revenue targets and managing high-volume events.

  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.

  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.

  • Creative, solution-oriented mindset with attention to detail and guest experience.

  • Proficiency in sales and event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

  • Degree in Hospitality, Business, Sales, or related field preferred.
