About the Role

Our client is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team within its restaurant operations in Mellieħa.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a specific kitchen section, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation while maintaining excellent hygiene and operational standards in a fast-paced culinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present dishes according to company standards and recipes.
  • Manage and oversee a designated kitchen section efficiently during service.
  • Ensure consistent food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
  • Assist with stock control, food rotation, and minimising waste.
  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of workstations and kitchen areas.
  • Assist with training and supporting junior kitchen staff when required.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service operations.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be residing in Malta or hold a valid EU residence permit.
  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role is required.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
